The Majors' Players

As if you have not figured out by now, but video sites were the big bang in 2008.

Hulu was launched in Beta in late 2007 and has gained recognition and momentum ever since. Fox and NBC have joined forces to use Hulu to distribute their programming plus the programming of several other networks like Comedy Central, PBS, USA Network, Bravo, Fuel TV, FX, SPEED Channel, Sci Fi, Style, Sundance, E!, G4, Versus, Noggin TV, Nick Jr., PBS KIDS Sprout, Disney Channel and Oxygen.

ABC has its own Adobe Flash player that is featuring FREE episodes of some of its best programing, yet its no where close to the quality and usability of Hulu's Flash player that has HD quality and 480p display. ABC's movie player has never played an entire episode of Lost with out having to stop, pause or wait for the picture to catch up with the words. For all of you lost fans I am sure that you know how important it is to hear the whispers correctly. I also find the fact that you have to click on a continue button to serve as a pure detourant in my user experience. Hulu is a very clean, and easy viewing experience thanks to all of the great programming of Jason Kilar.

CBS also has a stand alone site flash player that far exceeds that of ABC's stand alone. CBS has all of their best programming available and some greats from the past as well. There are 30 to 60 second spots from advertisers on all of the players, with ABC's player the only one that requires a click to continue button to resume play after the commercials.
