I was having a problem recently getting my audio to play. After just installing a windows update and running some antivirus updates I was troubleshooting this sound problem. I went through the normal steps of
1) updating drivers that showed error symbols
2) rolling back to previous drivers
3) and then searching for newer drivers manually.

I ended up going to Dell’s Driver Help on their web site.

I downloaded all of the drivers and finally success.
